You are a unicorn 🦄

G’day G’day friends,

Dating is Bali is notoriously hard.

The population is transient.

The island is filled with tourists.

And most people are here for a good time, not a long time.

But somewhere on this small island, there’s a person.

They’ve got their phone in one hand.

Half-eaten durian in the other.

Scrolling through profiles.

Left.

Left.

Left.

Left.

Swipe, swipe, and more swipe.

“Absolutely not.”

“Still lives with his mum.”

“Gym mirror selfie… again?”

And then suddenly…

They stop.

Because they’ve just seen you.

  • Your weird mix of experience.
  • Your oddly specific skillset.
  • Your 17 years in logistics.
  • Your obsession with process improvement.
  • Your ability to calm down angry clients.

To most people?

You’re just another corporate profile.

But to the right person?

You’re a unicorn.

But most corporate professionals are on the world’s worst dating app.

It’s called:

“Find opportunities through our careers portal or networking events.”

Your profile gets buried under 347 other candidates.

Your best traits reduced to bullet points.

Your personality deleted by HR formatting rules.

No wonder nobody swipes right on you.

But solopreneurship is different.

It’s more like walking into a small, dimly lit wine bar…

Locking eyes with someone across the room…

And realising:

“Oh wow. You’re exactly who I’ve been looking for.”

But this is only 50% of the battle.

Once you've got their attention, you’ve got to sell them.

It’s not just enough to be technical.

It’s not enough just to have the experience.

The other 50% is the sales process.

And this is what I’ll be helping you with next week.

On Wednesday the 11th of Feb, I’ll be hosting a LIVE workshop on sales.

Together, we will understand how to: Re(sell) Your Corporate Experience.

Only 3 days left.

Let’s Launch Together,

Michael ‘unicorn finder’ Lim.
