Michael Lim | Solopreneur Launch

This biz model should be illegal 🤐

G'day G'day friends,

I’ve created a stupidly simple business:

Publish organic content.

Create an invitation to join my email list.

Sell via a Google Doc when they are ready to buy.

That’s it.

Sounds almost too basic to work.

But in 2025, this super simple model made me 217,000 dollary doos.

All while I traveled across Southeast Asia.

I also have:

Zero employees. Low overheads. No large ongoing expenses.

This allows my business to operate at more than 95% profit margins.

Here’s how it works:

1/ Be something special to someone.

Don’t make content that taste like water.

Aim to taste like durian.

Disgusting to small.

Delicious to others.

Being everything to everyone means you’re nothing to nobody.

2/ Agitate their problems.

I speak directly to my client’s emotions.

I never educate.

Education content results in ā€œthis is so valuableā€ and ghosted.

Agitating problems results in ā€œhow can you solve this for me?ā€

One gets a pat on the back. The other makes sales.

3/ Solve one big problem in different ways

I help my clients make more money.

We install the Solopreneur Launch OS into their business.

I can do this asynchronously, 1:1, or DFY.

Clients pick their journey and investment levels.

This means I have ONE core offer with multiple entry points.

Less stress, scalable assets, and aligned clients.

***

Whenever I tell anyone about my business, people can’t believe it.

They ask if I have a sales team, a closer, or run expensive ads.

But as a solopreneur, I don’t want a more complicated business model.

I’d rather scale slowly through simplicity than scale fast through complexity.

You won’t catch me taking random sales calls anymore.

I’m not interested in hiring closers.

If you want help to build this model together using your existing corporate experience, I’m opening spots for 1:1 calls in May.
