This is why I’m so big on creating long-form content and building a personal brand. Short-form content is short-lived. Creating long-form content is the single most underrated business strategy. Content is infinitely scalable. You write it once, and it keeps working for you over and over again. Ads, DMs, and cold outreach work once, but only while you keep doing them. That’s why I don’t like short-form content without a long-form strategy. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. They require ongoing work to keep working. As a solopreneur, you need to invest in methods that keep working even if you stop working. Through my content, there’s a version of a virtual Michael Lim that exists out there in the world. Someone somewhere is reading my work. Being nurtured on my content. Entering my funnels. And thinking about working with me. Create assets that continue to work over time. Feed time assets, and it becomes your friend. Feed time liabilities, and it becomes your enemy.
