I've disappeared for a few weeks.

Sorry for the radio silence.

Towards the end of March, I decided to step away from writing online.

I paused writing on Substack, LinkedIn, and emails.

Why?

I wanted to focus on finishing the draft manuscript of my book.

This book has been a labour of love for the past 1.5 years.

I could see the finish line approaching, so I decided to go for it.

For the last 2 weeks, I've been editing for up to 6-7 hours per day.

I won't lie, it's been intense.

I've never felt so creatively stretched and challenged.

But through it all, I've become a much better writer and storyteller.

Writing a book is by far the hardest thing I've ever done.

Anyone who says AI can replace book authors has never seriously sat down to write a book or understands the purpose of writing.

The magic of writing is the transformation you experience.

More than just words on a page, you become a different person after you write.

The writing works on you more than you work on it.

That's why I'll never outsource my writing to AI.

Just like why I'll never outsource exercising to AI.

Now, I'm happy to report that I've finished my draft manuscript.

The book is close to 102,000 words.

I'm now focusing on cutting down words, refining and polishing.
