Hey friend, I took a break from my emails while in Beijing. To be honest, I've been feeling a wee-bit burned out. Since the end of May, I've been non-stop travelling.
I'm now back in Singapore again. That's five cities in five weeks. While I love to travel, this schedule is exhausting. So, I took a break. Lately, I've been feeling like my business is running me. I couldn't seem to figure out what was going on. During this time off, I had some space to think. I've realized that I've been a bit distracted. I lost focus on what makes me⦠me. I forgot what my core capability and unique positioning are. I was chasing trends and good ideas that weren't a priority. Hereās the lesson Iām taking with me into the second half of the year: Just because something is a good idea⦠...doesnāt mean itās the right one for me. So, I'm going back to my roots: Long-form writing. Even with AI, long-form writing will not die. Long-form writing = thinking. Saying AI will replace long-form writing is like saying AI replaces thinking. Once that happens, it's game over. Long-form builds trust. It sharpens your thinking and speaking. It attracts the right people and repels the wrong ones. This is how I built my one-person business. And that's going to be my focus for the next 12 weeks. I'm already enjoying the change. Stay tuned for more. Stay Limitless, Michael 'long-form writing is king' Lim. P.S - I'm creating a new long-form writing offer.
