Gāday Gāday mates, Iāve got some bad news⦠Iām unwell. After a huge week of conferencing, I slept for the whole weekend. Iām sitting in my robe on this Monday morning with a sore throat and a blocked nose. But it was all worth it. Itās also spring in Melbourne so my allergies are not helping either. For those who have been following my journey for awhile, Iāve been traveling across Southeast Asia for the last 12 months. Over that time, Iāve come obsessed with the Future of Work. Not just with being a digial nomad. But a deeper idea: That in the next decade, most people will be working for themselves. Some by choice. Some by force. All because the world of work is being rewired in front of us. The conference taught me that the ability to do business across the world has become easier and cheaper. But yet, most Australian entrepreneurs arenāt looking towards ASEAN. And many ASEAN entrepreneurs arenāt looking towards Australia. Despite the proximity of Australian and Southeast Asia, the bridge for entrepreneurs between these regions is still underdeveloped. Thereās a big gap in the ecosystem. Thatās why last week, I launched the Australian Young Entrepreneurs Group: Iām excited to say that Iām the Founding Chair appointed by well-known business leader and philanthropist, Peter McMullin AM and Stu Thomson. The purpose of this group is to connect entrepreneurs with the support to help them scale their companies across ASEAN and Australia. We are just in our early stages. But weāve already signed a Letter of Intent with Young Entrepreneurs Group Asia-Pacific Chair Hiromi Aoki. If you want to support the work Iām doing, you can sign up HERE.ā I'm excited to see a strong bridge between ASEAN and Australia. Letās Launch Together, Michael āget together to grow togetherā Lim. |
