It’s that time of the year again.

Gifts, food, and too much Mariah Carey being sung.

Most people start to unwind at this time of the year.

They relax, take a break, and stop using their brains.

Completely understandable.

But I like to take a break earlier in December.

And then use the Christmas period to get ahead.

This period helps me to get a running start to the New Year.

My clients are on a break and my phone stops pinging.

I’ve got more time, energy, and mental headspace.

Most people start the New Year with a slow energy.

I start the New Year with a running start and high energy.

I recently spent the last 4 days on a mountain in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

After the 3rd day, I was already getting restless and bored.

I started to look for random things to do and looking for problems to solve.

For me, 2026 has already started for me.

I’ve got my gameplan for how I plan to scale my one-person business in 2026.
