Michael Lim | Solopreneur Launch

a grateful reminder 📆

G’day friends,

Yesterday morning, I woke up at 4:32am to catch a flight to Japan.

I’m flew 6+ hours and 5,237km to Haneda, Tokyo.

(or 3,253 miles for my American chaps).

I arrived in Tokyo and then drove another 3 hours to Gunma.

What for?

I’m joining 10,000+ entrepreneurs for the Annual National Convention for the Japanese Young Entrepreneur’s Group.

It’s one of the largest entrepreneurship events in Japan.

While excited, I woke up yesterday feeling a bit tired and overworked.

It was early and I’ve been struggling with a few health issues recently.

In my half-dazed sleep, I wondered what all of this was for.

I’m usually a positive person, but I was feeling low and dejected.

But I thought back to the person I was 3 years ago.

Michael in 2023 would have JUMPED at an opportunity like this.

I still felt tired. I still felt overworked. I still felt a bit burned out.

But I’m feeling more gratitude today.

This is an email to remind you how much you’ve grown.

How much you’ve developed.

How much you’ve progressed.

Growth often feels invisible to us.

It’s hard to see how we’ve grown everyday.

But think about the person you were 3 years ago.

Now, think about the person you are today.

I can bet you it’s a world of difference.

Even if it doesn’t feel like it.

Take it easier on yourself.

You’ve achieved more than you know.

Let’s Launch Together,

Michael ‘one grateful durian’ Lim.
