Gâday friends, Itâs officially been 3 years since ChatGPT was released. In just over 1,000+ days, the world changed forever. At the time, it felt like a new intelligence was being unleashed. People predicted the end of jobs. The use for writers would be gone. Some of these things have come true. AI has replaced mediocre people and there's been mass layoffs. But the limit of AI is becoming clearer. People are pointing out the bubble-like nature of the AI ecosystem. The hype train seems to be dying down. Some of the biggest creators are using AI less and less. There are entire Reddit threads dedicated to how to stop using AI to write as users feel they are getting stupider. An MIT study found that AI is reducing peopleâs brain activity. Another study found that 95% of AI deployments in have not produced a tangible return or failed. Many companies are rehiring employees they tried to replace with AI in call centres and customer support. People who thrive in this new world recognize: AI is a tool, not a master. When one thing becomes abundant, another thing becomes scarce. The ability to think critically will become rarer. The ability to think strategically will become scarce. Iâve recently spent an entire 1-hour coaching session UNDOING the work that a client used AI to executive with. They werenât seeing results and couldnât understand why. With no understanding of taste, principles, and strategy, AI is useless. AI gives people the superficial confidence with no real substance. Donât get me wrong, I use AI everyday. Itâs completely transformed my business. But donât let the tail wag the dog. Nothing makes up for critical thinking and creativity. Letâs Launch Together, Michael âdonât be an AI slaveâ Lim. *** P.S - Whenever youâre ready to Launch, here are 3 ways I can help you fire up the durian-fuelled rocket ship to the moon:
