A breakdown of my Skool launch 🚀

My last email ruffled some feathers.

People didn't believe me.

So, I'll provide a more detailed breakdown.

Here's how I sold out my Founder Memberships within a week.

1) An email list is a money-printing machine

Most people overcomplicate monetization.

I built demand before I built the product.

How?

By sending frequent emails, proving I could help, and making small offers.

The result?

A growing list of people ready to buy before I even launched Skool.

2) Start unscalable.

I validated my Skool offer before I sold it.

I delivered the content 1:1 coaching sessions.

I could see what worked and what didn't with real people.

I could then package this content into a self-paced course.

And bolt-on a community option to add more value.

3) Sell One Offer in Multiple Ways

One offer doesn’t mean one format.

My Skool offer can be turned into:

  • 1:1 coaching.
  • A group program.
  • A self-paced course.

People love buying things that feel new.

But I'm not selling anything new.

Just delivering it differently.

Same transformation. Different positioning.

4) Keep Buyers Buying

Chasing new leads is exhausting.

Get off the treadmill, my dear Durian-loving friend.

The best Durian buyers? The ones who already bought.

I built recurring revenue by adding:

  • Upsells for existing clients
  • A community they want to stay in
  • A reason to keep learning from me

A one-time buyer is how you make money.

Repeat buyers are how you build a business.

5) Regular Emails = Regular Sales

People say, “Won’t emails annoy subscribers?”

Maybe, but:

  • The right audience values consistency.
  • Buyers need reminders before they act.
  • The more I emailed, the more I sold.

Good leads stay.

Bad leads leave.

That’s how you build a list that prints cash.

And how you launch a sold-out Skool community.

Stay Limitless,

Michael "Skool is cool part two" Lim

Late last year, my business hit a ceiling. I knew the clients I had weren’t going to get me to the next level. Don't get me wrong, I loved my clients. But in business, you have to do the hard things. What got you here won't get you there. I was working very hard, but earning… just okay. I wanted more than 'just okay'. I knew I could add heaps of value to established businesses. So, I changed one thing: My positioning. I made one simple positioning change: Move from coaching beginners →...

I've been in Bali for 4 days now. I'm loving the co-working space, gyms, and beach. While working out at Body Factory, I had a brainwave. Every country has a position. Not just politically. But every country occupies a space in your mind. When I say France, you think romance, wine, Paris. When I say Japan, you think precision, tech, sushi. When I say Switzerland, you think luxury, banking, mountains. And when I say Bali… You think digital nomad paradise. See the pattern? Great positioning...
